Community Consultation Meeting #3

Join us online or by phone on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 for Community Consultation Meeting #3 to learn more about the Housing Now Initiative and the final Block Context Plan, and to provide feedback to CreateTO and City staff.

A link will be provided on the City Planning Consultations Webpage before the session to be used for joining the meeting Online.

You will be able to join the session using your internet browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox) or the Cisco Webex app. You do not need to download software to participate.

We encourage you to join ten minutes before 6:30 p.m. to allow yourself time to log on.

A new Etobicoke Civic Centre and community facilities, surrounded by transit-oriented mixed-use development including affordable and market residential uses, retail uses and new parkland.
Mixed-Use Area
A mixture of new large-scale high-density residential developments (to the west and north), established low-density residential (further north), low-density industrial buildings, the subway and rail corridor (to the south) and main street retail and commercial plazas to the north and west. The Toronto Police Services 22 Division is immediately to the east.
A Block Context Plan will be prepared to provide a comprehensive vision for the community emerging at this location and at the Bloor-Islington site. The Plan will address built form typologies, massing, views, circulation, access to transit and the relationships of buildings to one another and to the public realm. Once complete, the Block Context Plan will define a set of guiding principles and performance standards to inform City-initiated policy and Zoning By-Law amendments
