Project Introduction

Representing the largest site in Build Toronto (now part of CreateTO)’s portfolio, Downsview project a comprehensive master plan and the future development of approximately 57 acres of land around Downsview subway station. This area encompasses one of the largest undeveloped sites in the City of Toronto.

Before a development application can be put together, we are working with the City of Toronto on the approval of Allen District Plan and an environmental assessment for the new roads in the precinct. We will be looking at the servicing, transportation and environmental considerations in this area and are also working to incorporate an affordable housing component within this development.

Major Intersection: Sheppard Avenue West and Allen Road
Surrounding Uses: Medium- to high-density residential to the north; low-density residential to the east; the Allen Expressway to the south and south-west; and Parc Downsview Park vacant lands and Bombardier Aerospace to the west. Adjacent to subway access and transit bus terminal.
