Project Introduction

Many different organizations and companies own property in what is locally known as the Quarry Lands. The 19.7-acre parcel of land that Build Toronto (now part of CreateTO) is developing dates back to the 1930’s. Our proposal includes residential and community park space.


Major Intersection: Victoria Park Avenue and Gerrard Street East
Surrounding Uses: Metrolinx Railway and low-density residential to the north; a parcel of vacant land, an established low-density residential neighbourhood, to the east; and retail plazas, established low-density residential neighbourhoods, to the south and west.

Past Use: Part vacant, part Runnymede lands. Past uses include a quarry and a landfill.
