4650 Eglinton Avenue West represents one of the several parcels of land along the north side of Eglinton Avenue West that were originally acquired by the City of Toronto as a right of way to accommodate a transportation corridor.

Evaluating the established residential neighbourhood that surrounds this property and market interest, we sought the best-in-class retirement living developer to look at concepts for a luxury retirement complex.

Shannex Incorporated submitted a zoning by-law amendment in early 2015.

Shannex Incorporated have their final approvals and the complex is now under construction.

Surrounding Uses: Mix of high- and low-density residential uses and a retail development to the north; established low-density neighbourhoods to the south; vacant lands to the east and high-density residential developments to the west. Richview Collegiate Institute is southeast of the site.
