Mixed Use

770 Don Mills Road

Project Introduction

The 5.5 acre site is located on the southwest corner of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East. Surrounding uses include employment and retail areas to the north, high and low density residential to the east, the Ontario Science Centre and natural parklands to the south and west.

Currently a surface parking lot used by the Ontario Science Centre, it is the future home of the main station entrance for the Science Centre LRT station to be open in 2020. This site sits high above the ravine system providing unique opportunity for views of not only the open space in the immediate foreground but also of downtown and Lake Ontario in the background. Deemed surplus to City needs, the redevelopment of this site is a great opportunity to for a mixed use hub providing a gateway to the Ontario Science Centre. Build Toronto (now part of CreateTO) is envisioning a mixed use development including retail, residential and park uses and is also working to incorporate an affordable housing component within this development.
