Garrison Crossing’s One-Year Anniversary

October 1, 2021 in Project Updates

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the opening of Garrison Crossing, the pedestrian and cycle bridge connecting Trinity Bellwoods Park in the north and the Fort York grounds and the waterfront in the south.

One year ago, Mayor John Tory officially opened Garrison Crossing with local Councillors Joe Cressy and Mike Layton and representatives from the City of Toronto, CreateTO and Dufferin Construction Company. Since then, the bridge has been used by many Torontonians and visitors, helping pedestrians and cyclists move between neighbourhoods in the surrounding area, all while offering a beautiful city view.

To celebrate the anniversary, we wanted to take a look back at the project by sharing a time-lapse video showcasing the installation of this unique bridge.
