CreateTO Board of Directors appoints Steven Trumper as interim CEO

The Board of Directors of CreateTO today appointed Steven Trumper as interim Chief Executive Officer, effective October 16, 2020.

“As CreateTO’s Chief Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Steven possesses a breadth of knowledge and experience that will be an asset to the agency,” said Vice Chair Ron Carinci. “Under Steven’s leadership, I am confident CreateTO will continue to provide innovative real estate solutions that benefit the City and its residents and I look forward to working with Steven in this capacity.”

Trumper joined Build Toronto, now part of CreateTO, as the organization’s first General Counsel in 2011. Since then he has been involved in managing numerous complex real estate transactions focused on leveraging the City’s real estate portfolio to ensure the best use of the City’s assets.

“I am honoured to take on the role of interim CEO and look forward to working with the CreateTO team and the City as we continue to deliver affordable housing through the Housing Now and Modular Housing initiatives and work to advance key city-building priorities through programs like ModernTO.”

CreateTO’s Board of Directors will establish a search committee to initiate the search for a permanent CEO.
