April 2024Project Overview
CreateTO, through the Toronto Port Lands Company, owns over 8 km of dockwall in Toronto’s Harbour. The team at CreateTO is utilizing the data from their assessments since 2022 to develop a dock wall management program to ensure it continues to support port activity and is maintained in good repair to accommodate creative industry redevelopment and a future public promenade.
On a recently completed dockwall rehabilitation, we added new safety features such as ladders, life safety stations, and a fixed fender, and introduced a new revetment system that works as a permanent solution while enhancing fish habitat.
