2024Project Overview
The 4040 Lawrence Avenue East project will deliver new mixed-income development surrounded by community uses in Scarborough’s Kingston-Galloway neighbourhood. The site currently houses the East Scarborough Storefront, a community garden, and a sports court.
As part of the Council decision in 2021, CreateTO was directed to work with The Storefront and local residents to inform the design of the future development. Community engagement efforts with The Storefront and the community have been underway.
4040 Lawrence Avenue East is a project part of the Housing Now Initiative to invest in City-owned lands across Toronto for the development of affordable housing within mixed-income, mixed-use, transit-oriented communities.
