Project Overview
Located beside Davisville Station and steps from the Beltline Trail, 1900 Yonge Street is one of eight high-value City-owned sites selected through the ModernTO program for city-building purposes. ModernTO is designed to modernize the City’s office portfolio, reduce the City’s office footprint, and free up underutilized properties for city-building purposes.
The initial vision for this site proposes the inclusion of a high-rise mixed-use residential development incorporating affordable rental housing, replacement office space, and the adaptive reuse of heritage assets. Redevelopment of the site is proposed to occur in conjunction with a potential opportunity to explore decking options over the adjacent Davisville Yards to enable the creation of a new park and amenity space for the community.
1900 Yonge Street is currently home to the Toronto Transit Commission’s head office. To accommodate transit operational needs, the property will be redeveloped in the longer-term.
