Project Overview
Located in midtown Toronto, the City-owned site at 275 Merton Street, home to a former Toronto Water office building, will be transformed to deliver nearly 500 new purpose-built rental homes, including 148 affordable rental homes. The development is a strategic partnership between the City of Toronto, CreateTO, and Collecdev-Markee, and will also include ground-level retail, an enhanced mid-block connection, and further improvements to the public realm.
On behalf of the City, CreateTO led negotiations to form a development partnership with Collecdev-Markee to combine the City-owned property at 275 Merton Street with the adjacent developer-owned site at 267 Merton Street to maximize the site’s potential, speed up delivery, provide an enhanced pedestrian connection the Beltline Trail and help the City reach its housing goals.
Construction of 275 Merton Street is underway.
