The site at 158 Borough Drive is located within a transit-oriented community and just steps away from Scarborough Centre Subway station. The new development will include 687 housing units, with 229 of those being affordable rental units.

The design objectives for 158 Borough Drive include:

  • Supporting the vision for Scarborough Centre as a vibrant and sustainable transit-oriented community, where you can live, work and play;

  • Design that is sensitive to the existing context of Scarborough Centre, including the Frank Faubert Woodlots, Scarborough Civic Centre and protected views of Albert Campbell Square;

  • An attractive, safe and pedestrian-friendly public realm, with enhanced and expanded options for active mobility supported through the development’s design;

  • A strategy that creates a positive design relationship between development and the built context of Borough Drive (Scarborough Civic Centre Forecourt and new Library) and Town Centre Court; and

  • Incorporation of appropriate Community Services and Facilities to support the proposed development and surrounding neighbourhoods.

    158 Borough Drive is a project part of the Housing Now Initiative to invest in City-owned lands across Toronto for the development of affordable housing within mixed-income, mixed-use, transit-oriented communities.
